2nd Saturday Bookbinding: Folded Fore-edge Books

Folded fore-edge books are designed primarily to display images rather than text.  The traditional version creates album-style books in which images are revealed through artistic cutouts in the pages.

This basic and easy-to-learn structure has variations appropriate for all skill levels and has wide possibilities for art applications.  Participants will learn about the types of these books, examine a variety of models, and make two books.  (Note:  This is not the recently developed fore-edge structure in which pages of a printed books are folded to create patterns.)

Appropriate for all skill levels.
