  • Sappho’s Fragments. A portfolio of fragments translated and grouped for this edition by Anne Carson and letterpressed by VABC artist Karen Kevorkian. (1st Auction, opening bid $130)

  • Gods and Monsters! Three signed, hardcover editions of the most recent Susan Tyler Hitchcock books:  Geography of Religion (2004), Mad Mary Lamb (2005), and Frankenstein: A Cultural History (2007). (Retail $80, opening bid $40, 2nd auction)

  • History of the/my Wor(l)d, by Johanna Drucker. Recently re-issued from a letterpress original. The combination of typographic innovation, visual puns and linguistic play make this aritst’s book autobiography a classic. (Opening bid, $50)

  • Five aquatints by John McCarthy: “Pomegranates,” “Six Quinces,” “Daybreak Song,” “Rivanna Nocturne,” and “Ghost Tulips.” Auctioned separately. (Opening bids $30)

  • Make Me a Letterpressed Poster! Advertise your public event or private function with a specially letterpressed edition by the VABC apprentices, Jessie and Patrick. Your bid will secure an edition of fifty letterpressed 3-color posters or handbills: you supply the content (just the facts, 50 words max) and they’ll do the rest. No design input whatsoever…let go, and let them make you an attractive announcement that stands out. (Opening bid, $50)

  • A weekend in historic downtown Charleston, walking distance to everywhere, during the week of the Spoleto Festival May 23 – June 8, 2008. During this arts festival (music, dance, theater productions) it is almost impossible to find a place downtown. Choose to stay with your host in the house or insist on the place all to yourself. Lots going on with Spoleto and Charleston is so beautiful in May. (opening bid, $100)

  • Creation portfolio: VABC collaborative project featuring etching, letterpress, polymer, and blockcut work by Kristin Adolfson, Barbara Heritage, Sarah Stein, Maggie Sullivan, and Adam Wolpa. Original artworks on handmade paper. (opening bids, $30)

  • The 2007 Jamestowne Suite: signed copy of Jamestown: The Buried Truth by William M.
